Information technology has become an integral part of commerce and business in the present times. As a result of the communication revolution, now telecommunication is also being considered a major component of information technology and it is also called information and communication technology. As an industry, it is a growing sector.

Impact of information technology –
Information technology has made the whole earth a village. It has given birth to a global economy by connecting different economies of the world. This new economy is increasingly dependent on the creative organization and distribution of information.
Due to this, the importance of information in trade and commerce has increased tremendously. That is why this economy is also called Information Economy or Knowledge Economy. The traditional economy based on manufacturing goods is weakening and the service economy based on information is continuously progressing.
Future of information technology –
With the importance of information, the importance of security of information will also increase. Employment opportunities will increase in information technology-related work, especially the demand for information security and server experts will increase.
