Alexander Graham Bell –

Alexander Graham Bell was a Scottish scientist, inventor, engineer, and innovator who is best known for the invention of the first real telephone. Alexander Bell was born on 3 March 1847 in Edinburgh, Scotland. His family home was at 16 South Charlotte Street and there are also several inscriptions on Alexander's birth. His father was Professor Alexander Melville Bell, and his mother was Eliza Grace.


He was born Alexander Bell and at the age of 10 requested his father to change his middle name to the middle name of his two brothers. On his 11th birthday, his father gave him permission to keep his middle name "Graham", which was suggested to his father by a Canadian family friend of his. According to his family and colleagues, Bell was very intelligent from childhood.


Bell's father, grandfather, and brother were involved in oratory and speech-related work, and both his mother and wife were deaf. Bell was constantly engaged in the invention of speech and talking devices, and it was only by doing so that his mind got running. And for this reason, Bell, who discovered the telephone in 1876, was awarded the United States' first patent award.

Bell invented the telephone and also made the world's best and most famous invention of science.

Which was the world's first mobile phone and when was it launched? –

The world's first mobile phone was the "Motorola DynaTAC 800x" which was launched in 1983. Its price at that time was kept around $4,000. At the same time, only you could talk for 30 minutes in this. Talking about its size, then it was up to 1 foot.


Despite its large size, it was considered the most portable telephone at that time. At that time it was really a big deal, we humans can talk wirelessly without any wires, and that too with the help of a portable phone.


1991 – 1994 (Introduction of Consumer Handsets) –

GSM was first launched in Europe in 1991. It was launched for the first time in the market with the Orbitel TPU 900, but till 1992 mobiles were used only by business people, since then it is now being used by consumers as well.


At the same time, a huge drop in its price was seen when its mass production started, and people started getting cost-effective consumer handsets with digital displays. Nokia took the first advantage of this change, while the Nokia 1011 was also launched in the same year.


1995 - 1998 (Mobile phones became more colourful) –

Although it used to offer only four colours, Siemens' S10 mobile phone gave life to the display of the phone in the year 1997. This is the same year that Hagenuk launched GlobalHandy, the first device without an external aerial.


This time there were also a lot of changes in the customization, in which Ericcson started offering swappable coloured front keyboard panels. In the following year, Nokia launched a range of 'Xpress-on' interchangeable covers in its 5100 series, making it the first fashion-oriented phone.


1999 - 2002 (Growth in Feature Phone) –

In 1999, Nokia launched the 7110, which was the first device to use WAP (a means by which information is accessed over a mobile wireless network). Just a year later, Sharp launched the world's first camera phone, the J-SH04.


2003 – 2006 (Mobile Data Revolution) –

With the implementation of 3G, the download speeds increased significantly, up to about 2MBS. In March 2003, "3" was the first to offer 3G service in the UK. RIM brought mobile email to the masses through its range of popular BlackBerry devices such as the 8100 Pearl. In 2003, front-facing cameras were introduced in devices such as the Sony Ericsson Z1010 which primarily enabled video calling, but this feature could not as popular at that time.


2007 – 2010 (Getting Smarter) –

Swiping and scrolling have replaced the traditional button method which was used in the input. At this time, the LG Prada became the first touchscreen market, that too before the Apple iPhone in May 2007. However, Apple has proved that both with a stronger brand and superior knowledge, they are the best at providing capacitive touchscreen potential.


2011 – 2014 (Life Companion) –

Smartphones have become very popular and central to modern life, which offers more than just communication features. The UK's first 4G service was launched by EE in around 11 cities in the year 2012, which increased the download speed to around 12mbps.


2015 – 2018 (Size definitely matters) –

When the global adoption of 4G started happening all over the world, then video streaming and video calling capabilities also started to improve a lot. Screen sizes started growing slowly so that the experience of all the features could be maximized.
